Alt J - Left Hand Free (Lido Remix)

November 4, 2014 -

Lido has been blowing up over the past few months and now he's unleashed his remix of Alt J's, "Left Hand Free." The original track gained a lot of attention on the indie rock circuit last summer and Lido's brought it back for another go. The beginning of the song opens with some acoustic blues action as it builds tension with a mysterious whistle and stomping breaks in between. All the build up gives way around the 1:30 mark, giving listeners the kind of fluttering release typically featured in Lido's tracks. It's very much a Lido remix but at the same time it shows us a side of the young producer's chops that we haven't heard before, giving us a more creeping and sensual experience. With a full remix EP that dropped just last week, Lido shows no signs of slowing.
