VIDEO: Groundhog Day for Vic Mensa's "Down On My Luck"

After the release of INNANETAPE last year there's been as much buzz around Chance the Rapper's Chicago rap collaborator Vic Mensa as there has been about Chance. Yesterday he released the video for his newest song "Down On My Luck" that came out two weeks ago. Post-EP release Mensa has had an array of sounds coming off of his Soundcloud with songs with "Down on my Luck" incorporating very little rapping but instead going for much more of a Chicago House style. For someone whose most notable search results are still features on Chance's songs Vic has room to explore whatever sounds he wants with freestyles on Disclosure songs and just feeling himself. Although Vic seems to be having a rough night, somehow he always corrects himself in the beautiful video directed by Ben Dickinson.
