The Fab Five: On The Rise Artists You Should Look Out For (May Edition)

Christopher Lavinio

To be honest, this has been one of the best Monday's in a while. Sam Smith just wowed us with his acoustic version of Latch, the sun is shining in the big bad city, and the number of people with Facebook statuses saying 'OMG I'M FINISHED WITH FINALS' is increasing. So, I figured I would present to you a collection of five up & coming artists I feel the Daily Beaters of the world should take notice of. Let's count them down shall we?

5. 3.A.M.

This Toronto DJ trio caught my eye six months ago with their stunning remix of Florence and the Machine's You've Got the Love. Now back with another electro-house take on the ever popular Lana Del Rey track Born to Die, these three young fellas from Ontario are looking to make headway in the scene with their unique sound and stylistic personalities.

4. Madera

New York city native Madera has been on the Daily Beat radar for only a few weeks now. While checking up on his latest releases via SoundCloud, we came across his uniquely styled remix to OneRepublic's If I Lose Myself. We all know Alesso started the trend with his unforgettable take on the track, and as we mentioned in our post about the remix, we weren't surprised when we saw the amounts of DJs and producers taking a stab at it themselves.

3. Admonic & Davies

Polite persistence is one key to succes in this competitive dance music world. My good friend from back in North Jersey, Admonic has been a strong supporter of Beacon ever since we broke ground on the label back in 2010. Now with Daily Beat taking off the way it has, I must say I am quite impressed with this progressive track he did with Davies entitled Ascension. With a very uplifting progression, Admonic & Davies carefully craft Noelle Roy's vocals towards the latter half of the track, encouraging the listener to want more. Enjoy this energy-filled original from these two fellas!

2. Xantra

Metz, Fance native Xantra immersed himself into the dance music scene early on in Europe. With his increasing European presence, Xantra is looking to bring that young French talent to an ever demanding North American market. Just a year ago in 2012, he was named as the official Joachim Garraud's and Muttonheads' remixer and release remixes on labels such as Universal Music. With his remix to Muttonheads feat. Eden Martin, Snow White, Xantra looks to bring a defined sound coupled with enormous drops. Enjoy!

1. Hyperbits

Our number artist in our 'Fab Five' is New York City DJ/production duo Hyperbits. In just one short year, Hyperbits has shared the stage with prominent names in the dance music scene such as Sander Van Doorn, Michael Woords, Ken Loi, Tim Mason and more. After signing with Armada Music back in March, this duo has soared in their production quality and has emerged as a duo to be looked out for come festival season next week.
