Super Bowl XLVIII: A Red Hot Bruno Mars Performance

February 3, 2014 -

Super Bowl XLVIII was a tough game to watch after such a quick point disparity. By the third quarter the Denver Bronco's were looking at a 36-0 deficit against the team with the 12th man, the Seattle Seahawks. It was almost heartbreaking watching Broncos Peyton Manning's Super Bowl dreams crumble in front of him and his brother Eli (in his home stadium) at MetLife on Sunday evening. In typical fashion, I was paying more attention to Erin Decker than the game itself.

However, the Super Bowl halftime performances have always been known to blow the crowd (and the hundreds of millions of viewers) away in a stunning display of lights and theatrics. This year marks the tenth anniversary of "nipplegate," the halftime show where Justin Timberlake accidentally tore off part of Janet Jackson's top exposing her bare breast underneath.

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers took the stage this year and impressed EVERYONE with their outstanding show. Bruno rocked out to his classics "Treasure," "Locked Out Of Heaven," "Runaway Baby" and "Just The Way You Are," as well as opening up "Give it Away" for RHCP. He incorporated James Brown's infamous dance moves and transformed the performance into what it was, an incredible display of talent.
