Part of our mission at Daily Beat is to bring you the newest and most innovative artists that come across our radar. But sometimes, we'll find an artist that is so talented that we can't help but keep it to ourselves. We've been sitting on this act for a while but it's about time we give Ghost Loft the spotlight.
L.A.-based producer Danny Choi is the name behind Ghost Loft, and his music is enigmatic as his moniker. Having only released two official singles to the public ("So High" and "Seconds") and a handful of demos and remixes, not much is known about Choi's project besides his insistence on remaining behind the scenes. Ghost Loft's sound consists of atmospheric electronic beats and textures in the vein of Washed Out and Tycho, overlaid with Choi's emotionally charged lyrics. His remixes bring a different energy, transforming the songs of buzzing indie names like Atlas Genius and Little Daylight with hip-hop influenced drum programming. Ghost Loft just came off of a fall tour with up-and-coming act The Neighbourhood and plans on recording and releasing more music before the years end, according to interviews.
