Last November, while attending a Chance concert at Occidental College, I was surprised to find Skrillex amidst a sea of students. After meeting both artists that night, I had high hopes that they might collaborate in the near future. Within a few months I was thrilled to see that Skrillex had dropped a new track during his Takeover tour, a new beat featuring Chance the Rapper.

Since then, several viral videos (featuring a live version of the song) emerged; leaving fans on the edge of their seats, waiting for a full-quality track to be released. Luckily for us, the song has appeared on SoundCloud as part of Skrillex’s new album, “Recess”.The new song, entitled Coast Is Clear, strays far from Skrillex’s usual heavy-hitting dubstep sound. Coast Is Clear features a fast drum-&-bass beat, with a powerful melodic bass track that compliments Chance’s unique raspy vocals. Celebrating the release of his new album, Skrillex will be touring across North America alongside Dillon Francis, What So Not, Milo & Otis, and DJ Snake, as a part of the 2014 Mothership tour.
