Rutherford House: Bass House Vol. 2

August 12, 2013 -

Rutherford House

Now well and truly in the middle of the summer season, it's great to see lots of fresh releases from artists in all genres. Bass house definitely hasn't missed out on this slew of good material, and this collection of tracks will give you a healthy injection of some of the bass line thats come out lately.

This track comes in from the Leeds based Billy Kenny. Sampling the vocals of the well known 'Teenage Crime' by Adrian Lux, Linnéa Martinsson's vocals are shifted down a few keys to create a darker, more moody approach to the track. After the verse the vocals make way for big delay-drenched bass line. Instead of describing the track further give it a listen!

Birmingham based Low Steppa is really stuck into the bass scene at the moment, recently playing at London's Vibe to an audience of London's jackin' enthusiasts as part of the wave of North England's Bass connoisseurs bringing their sound down to the capital. This track is no nonsense Bass House, and is up for download by leaving your email in the comment box! Enjoy!

This absolute bomb came out last year through Running Wild, given to us from the hands of the Newcastle-born, East London-based JOBE. Sampling from the iconic film 'the Matrix', i can imagine this track being dropped in the very last hours of the club being open, when the dance floor is waning and a pick-me-up is in dire need. The irresistable hook in this track would doubtless bring the dance floor back. Give this a listen now!

These artists need no introduction; Ill Phil and Lorenzo are central to the Jackin' Scene and this track doesn't disappoint in delivering sexy vocals and a bit of signature bouncy bass. Enjoy it!

Next up a track from Dublin in Ireland, which isn't something that happens regularly over the whole house music spectrum. All that we no about him/her is there artist name 'Origin'. It seems that he/her has only recently started producing as there are't may tracks on his soundcloud, yet the few that there is have all been released within the last year.  This particular track caught our attention due to its crunching bassline which has similar feeling to well known 'Redegade' by Friend Within.

To finish Rutherford House Bass House Vol. II a track by AC Slater owner of Party like us Records. This tune satisfies all cravings for for all bass heads with a punchy, wobbly bass line influenced by speedy garage. AC Slater has managed to nose himself into the UK bass house underground scene producing alongside Taiki & Nulight in which his style is comparable. Enjoy and give us some feed back on your thoughts!
