After a week of hype and anticipation, Daft Punk canceled their appearance on last night's episode of the "Colbert Report." According to Pitchfork, this was due to a contractual conflict with MTV concerning the electro duo's scheduled appearance at the VMAs. This would have been Daft Punk's first television appearance since the release of their internationally acclaimed album, Random Access Memories. In light of the unfortunate situation, Colbert preceded to rip into MTV, declaring to his studio audience that he had been, "Daft Punk'd!" After bringing Ashton Kutcher (Creator of MTV's Punk'd) onstage for some brief tomfoolery, Colbert struck a pose, dropped the beat, and broke out into what may be the largest internetwork dance party of all time.
