When I got word of DJ Yolo Bear playing a set at 285 Kent in Brooklyn I had to be there to finally witness the unmasking of this enigma. For those who don’t know, Yolo Bear first made his debut with jersey club delight Make U Touch My on Day 09 of Lucky Me’s Christmas compilation giveaway entitled 12 Days of Lucky Me. After a few months of stewing across the web and in DJ sets curiosity sparked as to whom the hysterically titled DJ that made this banger could be. Twitter hype sparked a flurry of rumors surmising Yolo Bear could be Cashmere Cat, Doctor Jeep or the masked totting DJ’s Paypal or Depressed Teenager. As we all know in New York, Brunch is a sacred thing. It usually happens on Sunday, when we’re hung over from the night before, and we end up loading up on so many mimosas and bloody mary’s that we’re wasted by 2pm. Well let’s take that idea and add a mess of talented Electronic Dance Music DJ’s, state-of-the-art robotics by The Dream Lab, giveaways, hula hoopers, drunken bar-top performances, and of course a three story venue filled with Bad Kids.

This Sunday, Andi Cross and Lex Houser of Bad Kids Clothing, and EDM-inspired clothing and events company, will host their 4th EDM brunch at Libation in the Lower East Side. The brunch will be from 12-2pm and although table reservations have been filled, a $10 cash cover charge will grant you drink specials, sponsored by Heineken, and access to 3 floors of madness all day and night long. With Infected Mushroom performing in the city tonight at The Electric Factory, these teams have come together to provide for you the official afterparty, complete with drink specials and VIP table service. Headlining the night will be Teknartist and Night Sh!ft, with supporting acts from Burnbomb, Sweekuh, Sebastian Clef, and more. Hosted by Buster from Wired 96.5, this night is not just about the music!
