NEW YORK - After the Facebook and Twitter frenzy after the release of the Coachella lineup for this year's festival in April, it seems that Hip-Hop legendary duo, Outkast, was one of the biggest hits to be hitting the stage in Indio, California. Well, for those of us here on the East Coast, or those who aren't spending the money on a cross-country trip, do not fret! The Atlanta-based rappers André "André 3000" Benjamin and Antwan "Big Boi" Patton will be headlining this year's New York City Governors Ball on Randall Island.
Says Rolling Stone:
OutKast will make their first New York appearance in over a decade when they headline the Governors Ball this spring. A rep for the fest, which will take place from June 6th to June 8th at New York City's Randall's Island Park, confirmed the news exclusively to Rolling Stone today. Following last night's news that Andre 3000 and Big Boi would be playing Coachella in April, it's the second announcement of a major reunion appearance for the group this year.

So as we react to the second big announcement from the duo, let us blast the speakers to Hey Ya! Roses or whatever Outkast track you like. See you in April (or June) for two highly anticipated performances!
