Oliver Heldens Is Keepin' House Music Alive With "Melody"

March 12, 2015 -

Future house enthusiast Oliver Heldens has been on everyone's radar since his recent explosion on the EDM scene. He's been able to please fans from the underground and mainstream alike with his funky bass lines and addicting hooks . Finally our boy is back with something a little out of the ordinary with his latest single Melody.

The drums begin extremely fat and colorful eventually melting into an epic voyage of strings that mimic Tiësto's classic Adagio track. The string arrangement reverts to the well known piano stabs with a beat repeated breakbeat as its backing force. Finally the drop hits and the first thing that comes to mind is house music. After so many genres have branched off of this style, Oliver does the opposite and revisits its routes. Although the production is top notch and futuristic, his ideas stay simple yet brilliantly catchy.
