Love him or hate him, we all know who he is and how much he has impacted the world of EDM since the release of his first EP, “My Name is Skrillex” in 2010. With no time wasted into the New Year, Skrillex releases fresh jaw-dropping electronic sounds on his newest 3-track EP, “Leaving.”

Everyone who follows Skrillex, even if he is in his early 20's, recognizes how much Sonny's music has evolved within the past couple of years since his beats were only described as "dubstep". However, after listening to the song “Leaving,” we can say this is definitely not the case. This particular sound is chillstep, which carries a much softer and smoother melody, even more so than “Summit,” off his Bangarang EP. “The Reason” has more of a glitch-hop feel to it, and “Scary Bolly Dub” is a mash up of his earlier songs “Fucking Die,” Scary Monsters Nice Sprites,” and unreleased “Lick it Down.” All in all you’ve got a few easy listens here.
