If you’re a fan of innovative, fresh tropical house, then look no further than Norwegian artist Matoma’s newest single "False Alarm.” The track features vocals by Becky Hill, a prominent voice in the world of electronic music and featured on other tracks such as Oliver Heldens' “Overdrive” and Rudimental’s “Powerless.” “False Alarm” is the latest track to be added to his album aptly named Hakuna Matoma, which is now available via Big Beat Records/Parlophone.

When asked about his most recent track with Becky Hill, Matoma said, “For me, I’m just so inspired by incredible vocals, and I think Becky has one of the most special voices I’ve ever heard, it’s such an honor to collaborate with her on this track. When I heard her first demo vocal, I got goosebumps, it was so good we ended up keeping it! “I’m so excited about this song coming out and being the soundtrack to my summer.”

Speaking of soundtracks to the summer, Matoma’s newest album separates itself from the typical tropical house genre by adding in elements of urban, dance, pop, as well as Caribbean sounds to create a unique masterpiece. His album boasts a long list of star-studded collaborations with the likes of Sean Paul and KStewart for “Paradise”, first performed during Matoma’s Coachella set, which reached maximum capacity. Some other notable collaborations on “Hakuna Matoma” are Akon on “Stick Around”, Wale and Popcaan on the happy single “Feeling Right (Everything is Nice)”, Jennifer Lopez and Jason Derulo on “Try Me,” and Astrid S on the beautifully heartbreaking song “Running Out.”

Following his album release, Matoma is touring North America in the fall on his “Party at Your Place” Tour, alongside special guests Cheat Codes, Steve Void, Baynk, and more to be announced.

With over 280 million streams and 7.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, it is clear that Matoma’s unique sound has captured the music community’s attention and that his North American tour will be one for the books.
