If you are from the Tri-State area like me, knowledge of the Mad Decent Block Party should not be new news. Having been around for several years, the MDBP hosted by Diplo and his crew of producer legends throws down in ways that can unite an entire city behind music. This year the Block Party has expanded its locations, branching out from Philadelphia to hit stops such as Las Vegas, Brooklyn, Dallas, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Toronto, with a star-studded lineup of Dillon Francis, Major Lazer, Flosstradamus, Riff Raff, Nadastrom, and SwizzyMack, to name a few. The one switch? This year it ain't free. And sure, everyone can gripe and moan about how commercial it's all getting, but let's face it, if you ask yourself if it's worth it to buy a ticket, do you really think you're going to tell yourself no, just because they threw a cover fee on a show chock full of LEGENDS? Yeah, of course it's worth it. Duh.

If you DO think that this just completely goes against your morals (but seriously, go. You'll thank me later), don't fret! The venue that we are all quickly falling in love with, Soundgarden Hall, is hosting the OFFICIAL Afterparty following the festival, with another amazing combination of talent: Diplo, Blaqstarr, Dirty South Joe, and RuXbin. This is a show you do not want to miss!
