This is the second installment of my weekly playlist posts, and this one definitely falls more under the "Alternative" genre. Most of it is relatively upbeat, featuring mainly male vocals and interesting lyrics, geared toward getting through finals week or celebrating the beginning of winter break.
Some of the artists featured, like Shout Out Louds, Coconut Records, and Voxtrot, represent some of my recently-rediscovered favorites from high school. Others, like The Smiths and Belle & Sebastian, are older bands that remain relevant and enjoyable regardless of what's popular currently. All of the artists have other great songs that aren't on here, definitely use YouTube or Spotify or your music application of choice to explore their other work. Enjoy, and have a wonderful week!
