Knife Party (and Pendulum!?) Albums on the Way

So many people might remember that back in August 2013, producer, singer, songwriter, superhero, Knife Party and Pendulum frontman, Rob Swire, announced that a Knife Party album was on the way for 2014, as well as a Pendulum album after, both within the same year! While the Knife Party album was very welcome but not altogether unexpected, the news that Pendulum might be reforming to record a fourth album, FOUR YEARS after their last album, Immersion, sent the entire dance and rock music communities alike into a frenzy. Pendulum was that band that everyone now in their late teens and early twenties jammed to, when Drum & Bass was just leveling off after a huge spike in popularity.

On a side note, Swire also announced that this unfortunately DOES NOT mean Pendulum will resume the live show again. This was a huge disappointment to many, myself included. Since that fateful day, Swire has been all but silent on the topic, however, on the 29th of April, we FINALLY received some news to make us twitch even more; Swire tweeted:

Does this mean the Knife Party or Pendulum album? We don't know. Probably the former since Swire tweeted Knife Party would come first. However, does this not mean that 'album finishing month' may also include the Pendulum album as well? Absolutely! And we sure hope so, because it would be fascinating to see what direction the band takes next after such an eclectic fusion of genres in Immersion, the album which Swire said is the true culmination of what he envisions a Pendulum album to be. Time will tell!
