Yes... I know it came out almost 10 days ago, but I'm new to the blog and really wanted to share this track with you. Those of you that remember Alesso's Remix of 'Silenced By The Night', will know that any producer who puts an EDM spin on a Keane track is bound to come off successful...and by God did this track live up to my expectations. As an avid Keane fan myself, who used to listen to their music religiously a few years ago, I was blown away by the level of dynamic energy Afrojack delivers in this progressive banger. His use of synth padding during the vocal lines creates a sense of euphoric build up, before crashing into a Tommy Trash style drop, with pitched and gated synths. This is far set from the bleepy Dutch house we've learnt to expect from Afrojack in recent tracks such as 'Annie's Theme', and instead demonstrates his immense skill in creating blissfully melodic drops. Expect to hear this one thrown around the festival circuit, with Afrojack announced to be spinning at Ultra Music Festival in March.
