Hey y’all. Chyeah here, sending love to all those Daily-Beatsters looking to score some fresh new jams. For this week’s tracks we’re setting our eyes east, over the Atlantic, all the way to Montpellier, France. Therein lies one of the smoothest producers on the deep house/tech house scene – Joris Delacroix. Though his production is still in its infant stages, at least to the American electronic scene, his remixes bring him to the upper echelon of relaxation. Two weeks ago, he cemented my presumptions about him with his remix of Fran – The Spell.
Maybe it’s just a sweet spot for the piano, but this guy melts my heart with layer after layer of soft, eurhythmic melodies and reliably soulful vocalists, regardless of the artist he works with.
If you’re looking for some of his own work, check out Be Who You Want – his number two pick on Beatport. If that’s too upbeat, slow it down with Slow Love , a personal favorite.
Though what really sold me on JD, was his remix to Sunset by Oliver Schores who just posted this single with a variety of remixed versions a few weeks ago.
Caution: Before venturing into this track, you’re gonna need a soft couch to melt in; some fat, noise-cancelling headphones; and a head dizzy with all your cares and concerns. Rest assured, your mind will be cleared after eight minutes with Delacroix.
