Well when you're from LA how can life not be classy? The two producers out of the city of angels that continue to become bigger and more influential in the dance scene, known as Classixx, have taken the classy lifestyle, given it a beat and some melody, and spit it back out as their own great work.
Holding On is their new single, and classy living has never been more well defined with music. The track is a versatile, feel-good dance party that does a great job welcoming you into the clubs & lounges or keeping the party going all night on the beaches. "Simple can say a lot" holds true in this song, with a great piano theme and backbone beat that each develop throughout the song, where we're introduced to the memorable synth slides. Simplicity at its finest.
The two have done excellent remix work as well for the likes of Cosmic Kids and Gossip.
On "Reginald's Groove", featured on The Magician's Magic Tape 8 (one of my favorites from him, this song being a big reason), the contrast of the stable pounding base and the high pitched piano chords allows you to move in any direction of your choosing, but it will ensure you're moving in some way
However on "Move In The Right Direction", the music dictates you staying right in your ideal groove stance (stretching before strongly encouraged) and let it all loose. Everything is done with a purpose down to each specific echo coming from every which way.
Keep your feet movin', keep your ears open, and most importantly keep it classy.
