Returning for it's third year as the premiere electronic music enthusiasts getaway, Groovefest 2015 has announced it's first phase of artists that will certainly carry on it's traditional of providing a 5 star ultimatum to camping it out in the mud with a bunch of sweaty bros.

Set at the luxurious Lifestyle Holiday's resort in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Groovefest provides fans from around the world an opportunity to see some of their favorite musicians in a full state of leisure. Don't be dismayed, this is not a 'cheaper' alternative to going to a major festival like TommorowWorld or EDC, in fact it might cost you a bit more. But it's a far cry from what you would expect to pay for a seven day vacation/clubbing in Ibiza. Hotel rooms range from €120-230 a night and they offer three day packages for €445, excluding airfare. It's a bit of a bargain considering that it's all inclusive (yes unlimited food and booze...vibes) and access to all of the DJ sets going on around the resort's campus.
Now, let's get to the reason why you're on this page in the first place, the music. The the first phase of Groovefest's 2015 lineup includes: Green Velvet, Patrick Topping, Skream, Cuartero, Dennis Ferrer, Darius Syrossian, Nick Curly, DJ Pierre, Andre Hommen, Bobby & Steve, Cera Alba, Doorly, Randall M, Sam Devine, Sonny Fodera, Sy Sez and Terry Hunter.
Groovefest has earned quite the reputation over the past few years as being the ultimate vacay for those who not only like to dance until there feet bleed but also like a comfy bed to crash on at the end of the night and be pampered by masseuses (yes they have a spa). It's not only an opportunity for fans to relax but the DJ's as well. In regards to the festival, legendary British producer Skream said, "The concept for the festival is amazing, it's so unique, it's rare. The fact that it's holiday for everyone means that everyone's going to go back with a good force."
The set locations move around throughout the day between the beach, pool and their club and are between 12pm until 4am every night, assuring that you get your money's worth. As I wrote this preview I wasn't convinced that Groovefest is worth it, but after reading multiple reviews and weighing what you'd spend at your typical 10,000-80,000 over crowded festivals, it seems like this is the event I'll be stashing away some cash for in the coming months.
The show runs between 9/6/15-9/13/15, book your accommodations now before it sells out!
