Hailing from the cities of Palm Springs and Los Angeles, Courtland Marlett is no newbie to the world of dance music. Although his repertoire used to showcase tastes in progressive and big room house music, he's now on to some bigger and deeper things with Take Me Away featuring Scott Bernhardt from Electric Family.

The song is reminiscent of tropical house with an extremely colorful arrangement of ping pong bouncing synths that lay down a dreamy atmosphere. The warm vocal feature is simple and comforting which adds an element of mystery from the lyrics. Finally it drops into a bassline so deep that it had us thinking about our childhood, the current relationship with our parents, and the last time we called an old friend, among other deep things.
Overall it's hard to describe the direct influence of this piece. Courtland's taste in house music is scattered throughout the track but revealed in a subtle way through his tasteful minimalism. If you're looking for something to play at a nightclub or a backyard pool party we highly recommend downloading Take Me Away for free here.
