A little rain did not stop club-goers from making it out to Rumor nightclub in downtown Philly on Friday, January 11th to see Filo & Peri. By 12 o'clock, John G was just finishing up the opening set and there was already a solid contingent of people ready for them to take stage. The Dj duo, who were discovered in 2003 by Armin van Buuren, delivered a perfect blend of trance and progressive tunes to an energetic crowd. The two worked well together dropping many of their original mixes and mashups, as well as several crowd favorites such as, "Like Home," "Pandor," and "Quasar w/Coming Home."
In addition to Armin, the two have worked with some of the industries top talents including Tiesto and Paul van Dyke. In 2008 they saw their hit, "The Anthem," reach #1 on Billboard's Dance Chart and Top-40 in the national UK chart for the year. The two dance music veterans have seen the genre come a long way and are excited where it is heading. They are dedicated to furthering dance music and devote some of their free time to teaching musicians, with Peri teaching at NYU and Filo at Fordham. After the show Filo & Peri were more than happy to mingle and take photos with the crowd. It was a special way to end the night to see their appreciation for the crowd and constantly thanked everyone for coming. Pay attention to these two artists, they are sure to deliver a good time and great energy! Check them out below:
