Felguk Ft. Lazy Rich "Dance to the Beat"

December 28, 2015 -

Bradley J. Callison

Heavy house hitters Felguk and Lazy Rich already know that you don’t have to wait for Thursday to bust out a throwback. Just in time for the holidays, their brand new collaboration Dance to the Beat is a perfect blend of old school electro, funk and disco. Dance to the Beat came to fruition as Felguk and Lazy Rich became inspired by their beginning days as producers during 2008-2010 when electro-house king and legend Wolfgang Gartner was at the top of the world and rightfully so. "Dance to the Beat" does Wolfgang some justice, while in the meantime we anxiously await for him to once again take over the world. Guitar rift induced buildups and an undeniable groove carry the track to perfection. This release delivers with a distinct driving melody and indefinite bass lines that is very French-disco influenced, as that reminiscent of Daft Punk is evident. Even the vocals have the touch of Daft Punk influences leading up to the reggae-like breakdown. This track is executed perfectly, with a little bit of something for everyone.

"We always wanted to do a collab but never had the opportunity. Lazy Rich sent us a melody that he thought it was very funky and it would fit our style. When we received it, we had the idea of doing a track with the vibes of the electro from 2008-2010, which was when Rich and us started. We loved the idea and moved forward, "Dance To The Beat" is the result of that" - Felguk.
