Hailing from Berlin, Egokind has produced yet another eerily addictive track - Worried Head (Egokind Remix) by Valery Gore. I was first turned on to this producer with his fantastic take on the smooth vocals of Julia Stone's This Love (free DL in the link), which is comprised very similarly to this. Both incorporate chopped samples and indiscernable echoes coupled with a guitar that takes the listener for a ride unlike any they could possibly expect. From a minimal standpoint, the basic progression holds for the first few minutes of his music, but as each song reaches its leading melody they take on a sound of their own, often pulling from deep, tech and indie electro (though this is only an attempt at describing what many would consider its own abstract genre). Needless to say, these are for the experimental listeners, but he's worth the leap of faith, and by that I mean listening to the full 7-8 minutes that these songs often turn out to be.
