It’s that time of year again, that time of year where the sun starts shinning brighter the days start getting longer, and the anxiety and excitement of festival season starts to build up so much you feel like you are about to burst.  Every year it seems like more and more festivals flood into this glorious time of year, and who can blame them? With massive festivals like Coachella, EDC, Ultra, and others pulling in massive amounts of revenue everyone seems to be jumping on the festival bandwagon.  Most of these pop-up festivals don’t last long because of logistic issues or just trying way too hard to be like the big boys.  And as these massive festivals aim to get larger every year, they begin to alienate those people who are truly there for the music and the experience, and not just to take pictures at an event to get tons of likes on instagram...you know who you are.  Luckily for those who want to ditch the large crowds, and get back to the roots of festivals there is an answer and that answer is Desert Hearts Festival in Southern California.

Desert Hearts has been putting on festivals for the past two years, and the quality and intimacy of their shows have made them a fast rising name in the festival scene.   Desert Hearts isn’t like most festivals in that not only are there music for 70 straight hours, but there is also one stage, thus allowing the entire festival to be on one wavelength.  Spring Desert Hearts recently announced their lineup for their spring edition of this festival which includes acts such as M.A.N.D.Y., Audiofly, Blond:ish, Monkey Safari, Rodriguez Jr (Live), Justin Jay, SHADED (Live), Halo, Atish and of course the Desert Hearts Crew DJs Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Porkchop, and Deep Jesus.  With a line up this stacked with not only talent from the United States but also numerous acts from all over the world Desert Hearts really achieved its goal of 'House, Techno, Love’ with this lineup.

Desert Hearts is March 27th through the 30th at Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, CA and you can get your tickets here.
