From the late hours of last night/this morning until late this afternoon, deadmau5 was live streaming an all day studio session of the production of a spectacular new track. Countless amounts of viewers listened and watched this masterpiece unfold as he live streamed via his website using twitch. I personally managed to catch four hours of this live stream but I have been told that the entire live stream was over 15 hours worth of studio time.

He was kind enough to upload "Imaginary Friends" on his Soundcloud and it is certainly a tease for what is to come from deadmau5 in 2016. Being an artist who has been known to welcome and provoke his "haters" via social media, Zimmerman surely has silenced them with this top notch work of art. The breathtaking introduction and chord progression leads into a minimal sounding drop that's filled with a heavy drum loop and bass stabs that are quite filthy.

For all the deadmau5 enthusiasts out there this is a wonderful time to be alive. We have had similar occurrences like this before, for example when he uploaded "777" before it was released as "Gula" on  while(1<2). We can only sit back and let the excitement/anticipation grow intensely in the months to come.
