I am extremely pleased to be bringing you the latest Daily Beat premiere from Virginia Beach native and current Los Angeles resident, Evan Duffy with his stunning piano cover of deadmau5's "7." Duffy stunning and emotional performances is one of his longest yet, incorporating the subtle yet brilliant sounds of Canadian producer Joel Zimmerman. Recorded in the famous East West Studios in Hollywood, California, Duffy takes us on one of his most passionate and heart-felt journeys to date. When I spoke to Evan about the Daily Beat premiere of this video, he mentioned the importance to create a rendition that displays the dynamics and range of his sound. While he has impressed us all with unbelievable melodic and upbeat covers, Evan wanted to evoke a sense of class and rich texture to his piece. After originally performing it on StageIt, Zimmerman personally requested him to recreate his majestic performance on YouTube for all of his subscribes. Hey everyone, decided to do some deadmau5 for you! Instead of my usual piano arrangements I decided to perform this one verbatim, as it is a standalone composition originally for piano. No arranging needed. I think it's a beautiful, minimalistic composition and really showcases deadmau5's ability to write some understated, evocative music. I absolutely love each of the 7 compositions here and hope you do too!
