I really have no idea what has gotten into me lately. If someone can please go back into the Brooklyn's Finest archives and find that magical breaking point where things changed, please let me know! Regardless, I've recently started listening to Dan Croll, a Liverpool alternative-pop artist really trying to break into the scene. As I'm writing this, I'm starting to realize that my excitement of 70 + degree weather, sun past 5 PM, and short-shorts (hehe) have kind of reflected this new taste I'm gravitating towards. Regardless, The Very Best's remix of Dan Croll's 'Compliment Your Soul' really brought out that joyous Afro-pop (sure?) that resonates with the happier things in life. So, heck why not? Embrace traditional indie pop fused with French and West African influences and take a step outside your comfort zone and enjoy this track!
