The Bloody Beetroots stand on a unique intersection of rock and electronic music. Perhaps not rock in the technical sense—dance-punk is a better way to describe their non-EDM musical characteristics—but nonetheless combining a live performance attitude of rock and roll with the atmosphere of an electronic music set. If you haven't seen them in a club setting, or especially a festival setting, all it takes is a look at their setup to see the hybrid nature of their shows:
I see Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and The Bloody Beetroots to be not too unlike another favorite, Eric Prydz; they don’t dominate social media with new material at the same rate as more mainstream artists, but when they do, they always do it right. Although the Beetroot’s Soundcloud page has been mostly inactive in 2014, they’ve reuploaded classics like Warp 1977 and Butter earlier this year. But how about updates more recently in the last six months?
