The Bloody Beetroots: Where Are They Now?

November 29, 2014 -

The Bloody Beetroots stand on a unique intersection of rock and electronic music. Perhaps not rock in the technical sense—dance-punk is a better way to describe their non-EDM musical characteristics—but nonetheless combining a live performance attitude of rock and roll with the atmosphere of an electronic music set. If you haven't seen them in a club setting, or especially a festival setting, all it takes is a look at their setup to see the hybrid nature of their shows:

I see Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and The Bloody Beetroots to be not too unlike another favorite, Eric Prydz; they don’t dominate social media with new material at the same rate as more mainstream artists, but when they do, they always do it right. Although the Beetroot’s Soundcloud page has been mostly inactive in 2014, they’ve reuploaded classics like Warp 1977 and Butter earlier this year. But how about updates more recently in the last six months?

The guys have been touring. If you haven’t seem them live, it’s pretty wild:

So don't worry; The Beetroots aren't going anywhere soon. With a tour like this, expect to see increasingly unique live performances coming from the crew:
