Blasterjaxx & Ibranovski - Astronaut

March 5, 2014 -

Shayne Gold

There are many words to describe Blasterjaxx--flawless could be one, incredible could be another. Following up on Beatport #1 hits Mystica, Fifteen, and Save My Night, the boys are back with Astronaut, a brand-new collab with Ibranovski, out now via Doorn Records. After less than two days, the song currently sits at #100 on the Beatport Top 100, and #22 on the Electro House Chart, and I expect the song to rise all the way to the top.

Opening up with a series of beautiful synths, the song leads with a smooth drum kick and a soft, lulling atmosphere. Just when you thought you had a handle on things, that ever-so-loved Blasterjaxx drop kicks in. I close my eyes, and I can already picture the crowd stomping up and down to these massive drops.

Word of warning to Toronto residents: If you're coming to check out Blasterjaxx at The Hoxton on March 22nd for their first-ever show in the city, I highly advise you to rest those calves, do a little stretch before, and wash those rave towels, because it's gonna be a sweaty, banger fest of epic proportions!
