Finally, Avicii and Nicky Romero release their song 'I Could Be The One,' after it has been floating around as 'Nicktim' for what feels like forever. I'm slightly lost for words on this one, as it is a mix of feeling bad for the middle aged woman stuck in a dead end job, too crying of laughter of her rampaging around like Reptar from Rugrats. Without giving too much away, watch the video first, and then I have a quick review. The song comes out on December 29 on Beatport.
While the music video jokes about being stuck at a dead end job, it is clear we live in a society ruled by money, doing things we don't want, because it will pay our mortgage. Not everyone has the benefit of doing awesome things, but Avicii and Nicky Romero hit the hammer on the nail with some undertones. Avicii and Nicky Romero do an awesome job talking about society itself, and how we try to just give people medicine, rather than a vacation or a break from reality. Sometimes maybe we just need a trip to Barbados. but look both ways before crossing the street. Didn't anyone teach this woman that when she was younger? Lesson learned from the video:
