Developing: Avicii & Madonna Collaboration In The Works

So the rumors are true. Avicii and Madonna are actually making a track together, as revealed on Madonna's Instagram, where she wrote: 'On my way to the studio to work with Avicii!'. Fresh from achieving a Billboard number 4 spot and having the highest played song on Spotify in the music application's history with his country infused Progressive House hit 'Wake Me Up', Avicii has now turned his attention to this new, curveball step in his dominant career.

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about pop's favorite grandma and EDM's favorite superstar progressive house producer working on material together. But it's sure to be....unique at least? Let's just hope Madonna keeps the cheap drug references to herself on this one after her MDNA Tour (really Madonna?). Her numerous drug references both in her marketing and while on tour have been a source of controversy for her in recent years, something which caused Joel Zimmerman, aka Deadmau5, to quite justifiably call her out last year for promoting drug use. It remains to be seen what fruit this collaboration will bear.
