Alesso - Heroes (Grandtheft Remix) [Def Jam]

November 19, 2014 -

Christopher Lavinio

Our Wednesday just got that much better thanks to our friends at Grandtheft. The Toronto based DJ/producer delivers a melodic trap remix of Alesso's 'Heroes,' sure to differentiate itself amongst the remixes out there. The dramatic reworking of the fall smasher adds a little more electronic throb on the verses and lets those analog synth chords go wild in the buildups, and then drive the chorus home with Tove Lo's vocals shining through. "Tove Lo has an amazing voice… Her melody and lyrics on ‘Heroes’ were a cool starting point for me on the remix," the Canadian artist said in a recent interview. "I set out to maintain the massiveness of Alesso's original but used filtered analog synth chords and off-kilter rap drums to color a different emotion. It's been a vibey addition to my DJ sets this past week! Excited for people to hear this one." Listen and enjoy the phenomenal Grandtheft below!
