As you may have noticed from some of our Rutherford House compilations I am a huge fan of Adam Ellis' driving flavour of Trance, coupling a hard edged sound with a beautiful taste for melody and brilliant production skills (which he also showcases in tutorials on Youtube). Further to this he is also really active on the social media scene, making sure to interact with his fans as much as possible to provide a really positive role model.
2013 has been Adam's biggest year yet with releases on Subculture, Future Sound of Egypt, Mental Asylum, Kearnage and more. His absolute bomb of a track, Napalm Poet, was voted to #22 on Armin Van Buuren's ASOT Tune of the year poll and to be honest deserved higher, a worthy contender for the #1 spot. John O'Callaghan,Head honcho of Subculture, is even quoted as saying "I have been working hard to unearth new talent out there and I have found a gem. Adam Ellis is the name, remember it and support this new talent."
This latest offering from Adam is dedicated to the arena where a recent Subculture Buenos Aires show was held. Featuring synth stabs that dive around the place above rolling bass lines and energetic drums, this one would destroy the dance floor whatever its size or composition. Mandarine is out now on Subculture in a joint EP with Jordan Suckley. You can grab it here
Next year can only get bigger for Adam as his productions push him further towards the limelight, and who better as a bastion for Trance?
