In honor of Valentine's Day, I'm gonna treat you guys to some of my personal favorite hip-hop love songs to celebrate this day of love.

"Find A Way" - A Tribe Called Quest
This one goes out to all the guys out there who are stuck in the friend zone. Q-Tip and Phife open us up to the mind of a guy who keeps wondering when his female friend will stop teasing him and take their friendship to the next level. He's head-over-heals for this girl, and the whole world seems to know except her.

"Perfect" - Snoop Dogg
There's a lot more to Snoop Doggy Dizzle than just smoking weed. This song shows that when he wants to be, he can be as smooth as the best of them. Guest vocals by Charlie Wilson of the legendary Gap Band put the cherry on top of this rap ballad.

"Sexy" - The Black Eyed Peas
Remember when the Black Eyed Peas used to be good? This song is from BEP's third, and maybe best, album, Elephunk. The great Sergio Mendes is featured on piano, giving this track a smooth bossa nova flavor.

"Brown Skin Lady" - Black Star
Fellas, if this track don't make your girl's panites drop, I don't know what will. You got two of the greatest MC's to ever do it spitting rhymes on one of the smoothest beats I've ever heard. Not much else to say.

"The Light" - Common
In an ode to his then girlfriend, Erykah Badu, Common does his thing, and does it well. Backed by one of my favorite Dilla beats, Common lays down the poetry as only he can on a track that could be considered the best hip-hop love song ever. Classic Common.
