Gosteffects Puts a Dark Spin On Disclosure's "Bang That" [Daily Beat Premiere]

Gosteffects is back with a brand new remix on Disclosure's, "Bang That," and we have the exclusive premiere.

Having spent the past year climbing through the ranks as an artist to watch by performing at Slake, headlining DNA in San Francisco and performing at his residency at Robotic, Gosteffects shows no signs of slowing down. His latest remix of, "Bang That," shows us a sign that he's pushing into a ghetto-tech direction. Dipping and diving between lo-fi breaks, his interpretation of this usually upbeat/crisp song allows its' message to take on a darker and heavier meaning. The past year has shown us that deep house has been dominating the charts and the artists chosen to headline festivals around the world, but more recently, many of those in the industry are noticing a sharp increase of attention towards a more tech oriented sound. This remix is a great example of this shift and it couldn't have come at a better time.

In regards to the current absence of original tracks on his Soundcloud page, Gosteffects assures us that an album is under way, but like all great things, it takes time. Crafting an original sound is hard work, fortunately his ideology on music, stems from putting in the time to make sure it's perfect.

Gosteffects said, "I want people to hear my music and know it's me. That's one thing I don't really like about where dance music is at the moment, everyone sounds like everyone else."

A few years back, Gosteffects gained a lot of attention for his remix of  Imogen Heap's "Just For Now," where he achieved a #1 spot on Hypemachine. Since then, he's been supported by some of the biggest names in electronic music including, Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, Chuckie, Tommie Sunshine and more. If his remix of, "Bang That" tells us anything, it's that the times are a changin' again and Gosteffects is on the forefront.
