Future Tones of Royal: Cycles EP

Where are we with EDM today? We're at a point where generic producers are popping up everywhere and the unique ones are starting to shine. This ain't EDC 2010 anymore. Daily Beat strives to shine some light on the ones who are innovative and expressive in their tracks. With the help of Filter PR, we've been blessed to have on our hands the trill dreamlike landscapes of D.C. based Royal.

Cycles is his debut EP jam packed with soft sounds and heavy bass for its entirety of 5 tracks. With features from Desktop and Axel Mansoor, Royal does not miss a feel with these tracks. The track Devil Pt.II features a vocoded reggae style guitar lick hovering over an ominous bass line that builds tension under some heavy felt lyrics. Every track hits the listener in a different way showcasing the musical talent and variety of Royal as a composer and producer.
