Every now and again, we here at Daily Beat we like to take some time out and highlight people who we feel are deserving of your ear drums. In this instance, I came across a man whose music is so lively, you can feel his heartbeat and get a taste of his emotions. Turn your attention to a man named Frankie Silver.
Professional dancer turned singer – songwriter, Frankie Silver has officially released his debut EP. After an unfortunate accident, he focused his energy from his dance, to his music. And the result? Brilliant. ‘Coming Alive‘ is a 5 track EP, each track starkly different from the last.
‘Dance up on Me’ kicks the door down with its dance floor ready, heavy hitting rhythms. Let’s not forget those lyrics! Nice and suggestive without being vulgar, and leaves just enough to the imagination.
‘Someone Else’s Eyes’ slows things down a bit. With a smooth baseline and some pretty creative vocal chopping on the refrain, its hard not to enjoy this heartfelt track.
The third track ‘Live, Love and Die’ has quite the intoxicating melody. I’m sitting here singing along as I write this. Find out just how intoxicating it is for yourself.
‘Part of You’ is my favorite track on the EP. This ones nice and chill, right up my alley. It comes in with a relaxed baseline and sultry high end vocals that give the listener the imagery & feeling of a drive down the California coast in a convertible with the wind in your hair.
Finally, ‘The Way That You Love Me’ featuring Blair Grippaudo is a wonderful duet. The sonic intertwining between these two vocalists is like a refined ballroom dance.
Frankie clearly left nothing on the table. The man has put his all into this, and it is ever so clear in the final result of ‘Coming Alive‘. If you haven’t already, give this EP a listen.
