Event Preview: Parklife Weekender 2014

As Britain has started to experience slight hints of warm weather, I am here this afternoon previewing what in it's short lifetime, is quickly becoming one of the hottest festivals in the UK. Whether you have heard of the Parklife weekender or not, I assure you that this years event really is something to get excited about!

Manchester's Parklife Weekender originally rose out of the smaller Mad Ferret festival, taking place in Platt Fields Park in Fallowfield, with 2010 seeing the birth of a new format, organised by the team behind the Warehouse Project. I'm sure any of you who have had the honour of entering those Warehouse walls will know what an incredible show they can put on, and understand how Parklife rose to prominence so quickly, now taking place in the bigger Heaton Park.

Parklife has always been very student centred, with many young people across Manchester seeing it as the ultimate post exam blow out, and trust me that this years line up is really something special! It really is rare to find a line up can perfectly cater for a range of audiences, but Parklife's combination of some of the best pop and indie artists, alongside perhaps the most unparalleled House music line-up I have seen for a long time, means Manchester really is spoilt for choice.

Saturday see's the main stage hosting Snoop Dogg, Rudimental, Annie Mac and Katy B, whilst other stages host the cream of the electronic scene with artists such as Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex, Eats Everything, MK, Gorgon City... The list goes on and on!

Sunday see's the likes of  Foals, Bastille, London Grammar, Clean Bandit, Disclosure, Julio Bashmore, Carl Cox, Scream, Heidi and TEED plus countless more! To put it simply, anybody who is anybody in this hot emerging house and garage scene is going to be there!

I'm sure you can see that this is not one to be missed! Stay tuned Daily Beater's for our coverage of the festival in a couple of months time, grab what limited tickets there are still available from HERE, and watch the video above!
