We here at Daily Beat fell in love with Canada last summer after taking a LONG road trip towards our North American family in Toronto to cover Veld Music Festival. Between the friendly Canadians, well planned festival, introduction to new artists, and well, indulging our taste buds with Poutine - French fries w/gravy and cheese curds - it wasn't until we had an impromptu interview with Canada's own, Charlie Darker until we found out about some of the rising stars the native land.

We've already known that Canadian producers Deadmau5, brothers A-Trak and Chromeo, Adventure Club, Dzeko and Torres, Zeds Dead,  Paris and Simo, and Kaytranadahave been tearing up the DJ scene (my mistake if I miss numerous other artists). However, until our somewhat recent interview with Mr. Charlie Darker, when introduced us to his Canadian buddies, Botnek. A few weeks ago The Drop dropped their 100th episode (Here) featuring Botnek and Jay Cosmic- this is where we were first introduced to Snails, his remix of Botnek's "Through The Night" and his and Botneks track, "KRMT."

It didn't take long to get more out of Botnek's friend and up-and-coming Canadian producer, Frédérik Durand aka Snails, because last week The Drop Radio featured the homie on their newest podcast. The first hour includes new tracks from the Duck Sauce EP, M Machine, Gorgon city, as well as fresh remixes by a slew of artists to keep your eyes out for.

Unleashing tracks from his and Botnek's arsenal, Snails gives the special sauce with what seems to be many unreleased remixes by him and friends, including my personal favorite, a spicy edit of  Aylen's "Quack Attack." Wherever you may be, it is time to indulge your ears in this two hour special.
