“Don’t go looking for the party, be the party,” says a man next to me wearing a handle bar mustache and holding a squirt gun. This cherished advice guided me whenever I felt the need to find the party in any situation and is the mantra of the "club kid".
New York has always been a home for the club kids and today they are still thriving in counter culture bliss. They are creatures of the night that live on the fringe of fashion, art, and music and are willing and able to create the party whenever they walk into the room.
