Just as you thought that the orchestral crunk-wave style from artists like Flume was just a phase, you instantly have DJs and producers alike looking for a new sense of inspiration. With the heavy and distorted downbeat, dreamy vocals, and dynamic synths, it has definitely become a sub-genre to look out for as we close out the fourth quarter of 2013. The chill electronic vibes this Sunday afternoon come from Georgia native Orikami, who produces an elegant remix of Flume's More Than You Thought. Enjoy another masterful chill production to wind down your weekend.
London's own DJ/producer Complexion dropped his eighth edition of The Future Beats Podcast a few days ago, experimenting with spacey and dreamy bass, coupled with a bit of trap. This 90 minute podcast is most definitely that late night bathtub music for your romantic evening; and after an incredible Bondax remix, I figured this relaxing chill out music is something we could all enjoy. So kick back, enjoy the last few days of summer and enjoy some dreamy, spacey and relaxing bass.
So this is just incredible isn't it? The amazing production of Courcelles, Belgium producer LUUUL and the stunning vocals of Anna Paul come together to create a masterful cover of Kavinsky's Nightcall. With high production standards set forth by the combination of Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo and mixed by electronic artist SebastiAn, the two were definitely faced with a difficult task. But, despite the high profile producers who worked on the original Kavinsky track back in 2011, Anna Paul & LUUUL were fearless in their deep, yet smooth remix of the tune. Forthcoming on Anna Paul's EP "Tomato Mozzarella" as a bonus track, we should all be looking forward to what's in store for the 'meat' of her EP. In the meantime, relax and enjoy!
