Carnage Attempts To "Give Back" To His Fans

November 17, 2014 -

Carnage has been a controversial figure in the dance music movement, often acting in ways that have caused a general public hatred of him. Earlier this year, he got taken off stage by police in Pompano Beach, Florida after refusing to get off stage after his allotted set time. Later on, he tried to clear the air about his alleged arrest on Twitter, but despite his efforts, fans did not seem pleased with Papi Gordo.

Then, at Hard Summer, he threw a hissy fit directed at Gary Richards, Founder of Hard Presents, over a weather related issue during his set at the festival. Afterwards, he recorded a 26 minute video defending his actions to fans, which later got mocked in a hilarious remix video by a Richards supporter.

And oh yeah, there was that time when Carnage nearly crushed a bunch of people at a show in Nashville while attempting to crowd surf. But maybe fans can now put all of that aside after his latest stint.

In a move intended as a "thank you" to his fans, aka the Chipotle Gang, Carnage mixed in $10,000 in single dollar bills with his confetti blasters at his show in Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom on Saturday. At first, this seems like a pretty awesome way to give back to his supporters, but after realizing there were over 5,000 people in attendance and after doing some simple math, that equates to $2 per person. One also has to realize that attendees were more than likely fighting each other over the money flying through the air. So what do you think? Is this a genuine and respectful way to thank his fans? Or is it more of a publicity stint?

P.S. According to Twitter, attendees seem to be very happy with Carnage's Chicago show and the confetti.
