SectionZ records, best known for featuring dubstep icon Savant on their roster, prides itself in the discovery of emerging artists who challenge the status quo of the current popular sound. In accordance with this mission, the label has just released multi-genre producer Twistex's 'Rush' EP. While not a household name, Twistex turned heads with his prior EP 'Lume', which hit #1 on Beatport's Hard Dance chart and ranked Top 10 in 5 other genre categories.
Twistx truly lives up to his multi-genre success with 'Rush'. The five song EP features tracks which range from dubstep to drum and bass and electro. Incorporated are unique orchestral intro and outros, which deviate from the sound of the middle tracks. While the EP may not be unified in sound, each track is worthy on its own merit. Theirs not a single instance where Twistx seems to be producing from a formula, and this keeps the EP very fresh from start to finish.
