Thriftshop (Crizzly Remix) - FREE DOWNLOAD

May 3, 2013 -

Since “The Heist” dropped last October, Macklemore’s goofy anthem to bargain stores “Thrift Shop” has made quite the splash, peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. With its infectious beat and quirky hook, the song has inspired countless remixes, including a particularly bumping one released by Texas based Crizzly early this week.

Crizzly’s version picks up the tempo by about 50BPM, and while opening with the iconic hook and vocals (“What, what, what, what, badum badum badadooda!”) Crizzly introduces a dope bass drum that really rocks the natural down beat of the song. While the drop is nothing special, using a standard doubling tempo bass paired with a screeching synth sting which cuts at the last minute to declare “That’s a cold ass Honkey,” the dirty synth line does its job and inspires the listener to get down and rip stuff up. Best of all the song can be downloaded FO FREE. BAMM!
