California will see the return of one of its more profound transformational gatherings this Fall with the return of Symbiosis, and we just received news of their phenomenal lineup.

Where do we even begin with this thing?

Headliners include experimental R&B star FKA Twigs whose performances at FYF Fest and Coachella last year set some seriously high performance standards for artists in this field. Her on-stage presence captures dancing similar to the Lucent Dossier Experience but booms with the 808 energy of a dirty slow-motion trap DJ. The crazy thing is we've never really seen her on a lineup of this type even though it makes perfect sense.

Gramatik and RL Grime hold down the rest of the headlining spots which are well deserved in their styles of massive festival bass performers. Down the line we see the legendary indie-electronic performer Santigold. Again, we're hit with a curve ball seeing this rare act that would normally fit in an indie lineup here at this transformational. The same goes for Warpaint which is a dark experimental rock outfit that took the cake for festival season in 2011-2013. Checkout this video below as they're easily one of our top acts to see at Symbiosis.

Ta-Ku (live) is the new innovative performance from one of Soulection's biggest artists, whereas we'll be getting special sets from Symbiosis residents Beats Antique and Dirtybird overlord Claude VonStroke. Below these headliners we've got a fat stack of artists including more Dirtybird players like Justin Martin, Shiba San, Ardalan, and Worthy.

As if it couldn't get any better we'll be getting a full dose of Desert Hearts with their crew Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Deep Jesus, Marbs, and Porkchop. Seeing as Desert Hearts was one of our favorite music festivals of this Spring, we're beyond excited to join the vibes once more at Symbiosis.

Symbiosis Gathering offers a multi-disciplinary experience for the senses, over 11 years it has built a creative community based on exploration. Attendees can wander between six lakeside stages, swim between art boats, learn from visionaries in permaculture, yoga, and design, enjoy organic food or simply get lost in the multitude of interactive environments - an immersive and subversive alternative to the corporatized festival experience.

We are now in the age where the demand for transformationals is growing faster than no other. Whereas Lightning in a Bottle can be considered the Burning Man of California, Symbiosis lies somewhere in that field as a huge transforming escape from everyday life. We're beyond excited to cover this festival for the first time and we look forward to sharing more news of this event with our readers.
