Danish DJ and producer duo Svenstrup & Vendelboe make their long-awaited return to the electronic music scene after a six-year hiatus with their new single, “Under Water”, released independently on June 13. Marking a fresh chapter, this track stands apart from much of their previous Danish-language work as their first English-language release, featuring lush and emotive vocals from X Factor alum Mariya.

Under Water embraces a laid-back, melodic house sound that is both smooth and inviting, designed to be easy on the ears while still maintaining a solid connection to the dancefloor. After a period of reflection on their musical direction, the duo has chosen to explore this more relaxed and sophisticated style, which they intend to develop further in future productions.

The track opens gently, evoking a cinematic and immersive atmosphere that gradually builds, showcasing the duo’s refined production skills and emotional depth. The combination of Mariya’s vocal warmth and the duo’s textured melodies creates a soundscape that invites listeners to both move and reflect.

This release signals a new phase for Svenstrup & Vendelboe, positioning them to re-engage their audience with fresh material while maintaining the signature production qualities that have earned them acclaim in the past.
