Steve Darko is hands down one of our favorite rising talents coming out from the world of futuristic tech house. We first discovered him through Audiophile XXL which he currently works under as A&R. Throughout the last few years he continued to impress us with releases on Psycho Disco!, Box of Cats, Perfect Driver, and many more. But it wasn't until recently that he finally released on Dirtybird with his debut EP on the label Fried Or Fertilized.
The lead track is a catchy tech banger that has a driving hook just like you'd expect from an infectious Dirtybird track. The second drop however goes a bit deeper with an acidic synth line that is complimented with the evil psychedelic production that makes Darko's music so unique.
The second track 'Thumbs' is a low-key tech house jam that toys with a Rhodes keyboard sound and a cheeky verse. This one has a mystical circus vibe that we could imagine Claptone dropping in a set.
Overall Steve's production is better than ever and we are stoked to hear these songs get some exposure on dance floors all Summer long.
