Starya, formerly known as Tuff Ghost released her first project under the underground label, Popgang Records with a fiery, blog-house tune ‘The Garden’.
With her past experiences under her Tuff Ghost alias, she’s collaborated with house producer Durante and with Mija, even joining alongside the genre-bending icon as a support slot on her nationwide tour. She’s also made appearances opening up for electronic legends like Skrillex, ZEDD, and Kill The Noise.
These experiences have contributed to the rising producer and vocalist creating her new alias, Starya.
Starya’s new release, ‘The Garden’ is a synth-rich tune that starts off in a melodic array, then is eventually accompanied by enriching vocals that highlight Starya’s indie-pop talents.
“Rainbow without warning/feel the sun feel the rain coming down/follow them to the garden/there’s a chest in the hole in the ground,” she sings, beckoning the listener further down the rabbit hole into her interdimensional garden.
The song continues in deep hits of electro-house, combined with snippets of bass synths that dissect through the upbeat, club beats.
Starya, a multi-talented artist truly showcases her quality skills as a singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist as her ethereal and pop-house approach to music has led her to play a residency at The Britely in West Hollywood, in addition to her upcoming debut performance at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on August 6th.
Her new release ‘The Garden’ introduces her to the Popgang label in an impressive manner. With another track, ‘Manipulator’ releasing soon on July 1st, Starya continues to pave her prominence.
