Spotlight on Mantra Sounds

August 10, 2021 -

Damask Schantz

This past weekend Mantra Sounds originally from Philadelphia spoiled the attendees at Luminescence music festival with a multi-genre set that was thrilling and effortless on the ears. Her flirty lyrics cut through the usual noise of male-dominated straight sexual jargon which was a breath of fresh air for the LGBQ community. And wow did her song selection blow us all away. Usually a bass-heavy artist, she challenged herself and the audience to embrace more than just dubstep and experimental bass music. House music fits! Who knew? She did and she trusted us to “get it” which we did. Finally, she added a splash of drum and bass that rounded out the experience and had me floating on cloud 9 for the rest of the day. Truly a set I’ll never forget.

Would you like to catch her next set? You are in luck! She is gracing the stage tonight at H0L0 with Heart Beats NYC. Get your tickets right here and we will see you on the dance floor!
